Health account comparison

Take a look at how HSAs, FSAs and HRAs compare.

Health savings accounts (HSAs), flexible spending accounts (FSAs) and health reimbursement accounts (HRAs) all offer  ways to pay for health care expenses while saving on taxes. There are some big differences between how the accounts work, though.

*HSA funds used for non-qualified medical expenses are taxed and subject to a 20% penalty if the HSA holder is less than 65 years of age. After age 65, HSA funds for non-qualified medical expenses are taxed (but not penalized).
